A contemporary bungalow

South Downs National Park, East Sussex

Dwell obtained planning consent for a vacant pocket of land on the wider project of Saxondown Farm. This project proposed a new detached, single storey, 3-bedroom dwelling. The small site works efficiently to provide parking and garden amenity whilst adhering to the local planning policy which restricted the building height resulting in the bungalow typology.

The proposal is designed to be a low energy home which benefits from passive heating and cooling through the strategic orientation and building form.
